Tron Link Pro Wallet

When I started creating my list of terms, definitions and jargon one of the first terms that I listed was wallet and defined it as: "A piece of software or an app, either on a computer or mobile device, used to securely hold your cryptocurrency". I'll be adding a list of wallets that I know or have used in another post but thought I'd introduce one in detail here.

TronLink Pro

A wallet is one of the most basic things that you need in order to start holding cryptocurrency. You need to know what currencies you will be holding and using but TronLink Pro is one of the best that  I have used for holding currencies based on the Tron (TRX) token.

It has a very good mobile version on Android (sorry I can't comment on the iPhone version) that has a nice user interface and gives instant views of your current tokens and their Tron equivalent and US Dollar values.

This is also a particularly interesting wallet as it can also be installed as an extension in Google Chrome or Brave internet browsers on a desktop or laptop PC, and links to several other apps and games (more of those in another post). The mobile app includes a built in browser for accessing what are known as Dapps (Decentralised Applications) and comes with several interesting ones that can be launched straight away using the same log in details and wallet address, effectively being able to pass the tokens you have into these apps to purchase items or invest/mine/stake.

Sending and receiving coins into the wallet has been easy for me in the past and if you hold Tron (TRX) then you can freeze this, use the frozen tokens to vote and earn interest on the frozen amount. Interest can be anywhere from 1% to 7% per year although it's not unknown to see it at over 8% per year as well. You can change votes easily if another option gives a higher interest rate and you can unfreeze your currency at any point (although that then stops the earned interest).

Freezing your Tron currency also gives additional bandwidth and/or energy so that any actions you do (trades, withdrawing, depositing etc.) are at a reduced cost or even free.

Trading of tokens, should you want to risk that rather than just hold (hodl) your tokens, can be done through a few sites. A link through to PoloniDEX is built into the wallet and NoleX can be accessed through the Dapps part of the wallet, but more on both of these in a later post.

If you donwload and use the wallet please use this code: 3bfy to get 300 points.
